150 years of WWB
On Friday 6th June 2025, we held an open afternoon to celebrate 150 years since WWB was built in 1875!
We were so proud to welcome so many people to come and look around our lovely school!
We enjoyed biscuits, tea, coffee
We were so proud of the choir for singing so beautifully
The maypole dancers were just amazing, dancing so well around the maypole
Lots of memorabilia to look through
A chance to plant a seed for a maple tree and some thyme to represent the time that has passed
and some thyme to represent the time that has passed
A suitcase of dreams - where people could write a luggage label telling us what they’ve been doing with their lives since leaving WWB
A collection of ‘toys through the ages’ for people to look at and reminisce
It was so wonderful to hear so many heart-warming conversations about the past and see people reconnecting who hasn’t seen each other for years!
Mrs White was very happy to share experiences with previous Headteacher, Mr Cunliffe and talk about how the school has changed over the years!
