DfE Guidance for Complaints

New DfE Guidance for Parents: How to Raise Concerns or Complaints

We always want our families to feel listened to, supported and clear about how to share any worries with us.

The Department for Education has released updated guidance for parents on how to raise feedback, concerns or complaints, with the aim of helping issues be resolved quickly, calmly and positively.

Here’s what you need to know:

Most issues can be sorted by speaking to your child’s class teacher first.
If things still feel unresolved, you can speak with a senior leader, then the Headteacher.
If a formal complaint is needed, our Complaints Procedure explains each step clearly, including who will respond and the timescales involved.
The guidance also reminds us all to communicate respectfully so we can work together in the best interests of your child.

You can read the DfE Parent Guide here as well as the attached document:

V8- Parent Complaint Guide

As always, we are here to help. If you ever have a question or concern, please come and talk to us - we’re committed to working in partnership with you.

Best wishes
