Composting
Do you compost? Do you know how? WE DO !!!!
The Eco Committee did an assembly and told us all about it. We have composting caddies in all the classrooms, staff room, hall and tuck shop.
We can put our apple cores, banana skins and tea bags, and some paper towels. We have to remember that.. just a few browns!
It has been fun learning about the mini beasts that live inside the compost bin. Leanne from the Wildlife Trust came in and did some workshops with Class 3, 2, 1 and Reception, to help them learn what can and can't go in the compost bin and why it's important. Do you know? It helps reduce our waste going to horrible land fill places and we can use the compost in our school garden to help grow new plants, how exciting is that!
