Eco Schools / Fairtrade

Our school is very proud to have been a Green Flag Eco School and the first primary school in Clitheroe to be awared Fairtrade School status.

Through our topic themed curriculum we raise awareness of environmental issues and staff demonstrate good practice in their daily routine in school life.

Our Ethos Group work really hard and are keen to promote what they do and learn in school with the rest of the community.

Our Eco Code truly represents everything our school is doing to help protect our environment for the future.

The Eco-Committee asked the classes what should be included in the document and then combined the ideas, which resulted in a very thorough and creative ethos, for which we stand for.

What can I recycle and where?

Type in your postcode and the website gives you a whole host of information, explaining what kinds of plastic, greens etc you can recycle at home, and where to take other things to, locally.
