Our first community event was held on the 3rd March 2011, during Fairtrade Fortnight - A Fairtrade Coffee Afternoon. It was held in the hall from 2pm till 3pm. We sold Fairtrade Tea, Coffee, Cakes (made by class five), Biscuits (made by class four), fruit (donated by parents).
Parents, Governors, members from the local church were all invited and we were really pleased with the event. We shared a Powerpoint about what Fair trade is all about and what we have learnt; sold a quiz that class five designed, to help others learn like we have about why Fairtrade is so important.
We raised over £100!
The winner of the Quiz was Mrs Tigwell from Merseyside, she won a Fairtrade Goody bag.
