Our school is proudly sponsoring two children who have been affected by a disease called Ebola. They have lost their parents and are cared for by their auntie who is in a wheelchair. Their names are Moses and Bintu.
They live in a country in a West African country named Sierra Leone, in an extremely poor county called Kaihlan. They are currently being helped by a charity called Kids in Kaihlan (or KIK). In the summer holidays a group of children organised a car-boot sale to raise money for this charity.
Last week, we were visited by a woman named Lorraine, she is known in her charity as Mama Loz. Our school sent letters and pictures to Moses and Bintu’s school so that they can put them up in a classroom called Waddington and West Bradford class. Every class has drawn a picture or sent a letter. Moses and Bintu are really really pleased about our support.
