Waddington and West Bradford C.E. Primary School
In our Christian family, we Encourage, Serve and Respect everyone and shine in the light of Jesus.
Yet again, we supported EDF Energy's Big Switch Off in November. We are working hard to reduce our energy in school and this is a great way to get the whole school focussed.
The Eco committee presented an assembly to the whole school about what energy was, how it's used and made sure everyone went away with ideas of how they can make a difference to reduce energy and save money in school and at home.
We've gone on step further this year, we're not just holding a one day switch off, we're having a whole month of switichng off! When Luyten maths group were analysing data from the electricty meters, they noticed that November in particular had a high reading. So they decided to make more effort this November and switch off as much as possible over the whole month.
We now have a leaderboard on the Eco Noticeboard, to show which class is best at saving energy, watch this space to see who wins in July, at the end of the year.
