Key Texts and Favourite Five

Please see below our weekly Key Texts for both Reception and Pre-School, carefully chosen to support and enrich our learning each week. Pre-School also enjoys a weekly nursery rhyme.  Learning rhymes helps young children develop early language skills, build memory, and hear the rhythms and patterns of spoken words.
You will also find our ‘Favourite Five’ stories. These are the five books we read simply for pleasure and enjoyment. These are the much-loved stories we return to again and again throughout the half term, helping children develop a love of reading and storytelling.
