Every year, we promote Fairtrade in the community at our local village hall craft fair. Pupils volunteer to man the stall on a Sunday (with Mrs Lopiccolo or Mrs Kirkman), giving up part of their weekend! They sell lots of fairtrade products, including: home made buns, tea, coffee, jam, cookies, chocolate, bookmarks, purses, notebooks etc. Some of the pupils work is on display and they hand out leaflets and talk to people about Fairtrade, what they've learnt in school and how it makes a difference. This is a great opportunity for pupils to develop inter personal skills, dealing with the public, handling money and calculating change. A great experience that benefits everyone.
