Learning Overview
ART
This half term out art work has focused on the skills involved in printing. First we learnt that Andy Warhol and Picasso used printing in their art and looked at examples of thier work. We then made our own rainforest animal relief prints using polystyrene sheets. Next we learnt abou the American artist and activist Favianna Rodriguez to learn how she creates docial justice posters. Finally we designed our own poster combining simple text, bold colours, drawings and our own animal relief prints. We hope you like like our eye-catching posters.
PE
In some of our PE lessons this half term we have been practising Curling! Lots of skills put into practice - balance, agility, strength, co-ordination; team work and tactics. Children learnt technical vocabulary: house, stone, guard shot, takeout shot. We held a mini tournament in the last week and crowned this year's champions!
