Roman Soldiers
The Army was divided into legions of foot soldiers.They were skilled in fighting pitched battles and in laying siege to enemy camps. They took great pride in their skills and in their victories.
The Roman Army was not used only for fighting. Soldiers built forts and fortresses in which to live and network of good roads, so that the Soldiers could march quickly from place to place.
