Autumn 2 - The Great Plague
In this topic, we:
- read Pied Piper of Hamelin and wrote our own stories about animals infesting our school
- learnt sketching and shading techniques and drew rats
- created dances to represent events from the plague
- used sources to answer the questions
- what was London like in 1665?
- what was the plague and why was it a problem?
- why did the plague spread so quickly?
- How many people were killed by the plague and how do we know?
- Did the plague spread outside London?
- How did people cope with having to live with dying relatives?
- How did people try to treat or prevent the curse?
