ENTERPRISE FAIR

Our enterprise topic all led up to the wonderful enterprise fair which was held in the last week of term, to which all parents/grandparents of KS2 children were invited.

The fair was held in the hall and Year Six classroom and involved 18 stalls involving all the junior children.

The three stalls run by Year Four were:

• Lancashire Gardens - selling bird food and pea plant seedlings
• Love Island - selling painted rocks and Valentine's Day cards
• Lemonade Wars and Games Kingdom - selling homemade still lemonade and loombands plus games competitions including 'who can do the most dabs in 30 seconds?' and 'how many push-ups can you do?'

Well done to everyone involved - it was a fantastic afternoon and a great five weeks of topic work in which everyone worked really hard! :)

We definitely have a lot of entreprenuers of the future amongst us!

ENTERPRISE TOPIC

During this topic, we:

• learnt about how businesses run and about the different jobs involved in running a business
• interviewed local business people
• learnt about different forms of persuasive writing and advertising
• worked in groups to design products, create TV adverts and make posters
• developed prototypes and made finished products
• did costings and worked out prices we should sell our products for, calculated our takings and profits
• ran our stalls very successfully
