In this topic, we:
- learnt about the science behind sound and electricity
- learnt about famous composers from the past, listened to their music and learnt about their lives
- designed our own shoebox TV sets with working lights
- visited The Grand in Clitheroe to learn about what goes into putting on a performance
- studied playscripts and learnt the features of them
- wrote, performed and recorded our own TV show
THE GRAND
On 5th July, we visited The Grand in Clitheroe to learn about what it is like behind the scenes at an event venue. We got to try our hand at different jobs, such as event manager, lighting engineer, sound engineer, hospitatlity staff, security, ticket office staff, audience and performers! We had a wonderful afternoon and learnt so much about the jobs involved in hosting events.
