Junior Stem
Thanks to money raised by the School Council, we enjoyed a session with Junior Stem in which we built a lego fairground and used coding to make it move, light up and make sounds.
Race for Life
On Friday 24th June, we took part in school's Race for Life. Everyone in the school ran or walked for half an hour, with our class completing 693 laps (the most in the school!) Well done Year Four! :)
Jubilee Celebrations
We celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee with a week of events, which included:
- dressing as a king or queen for the day
- taking part in a royal parade
- learning about Queen Elizabethh II and how her jubilee will be celebrated
- researching British monarchs from history in groups and presenting what we learnt to the rest of the class
- Making red, white and blue cupcakes to share with our families
- receiving a special jubilee mug from Reverend Wood
- having a jubilee-themed picnic lunch
- doing jubilee-themed puzzles and maths problems
- writing about what we would do if we were King or Queen
- and designing our own coat of arms
