  In Forest School this week, Year 2 talked about the trees and how some of them have been here for a long time. We thought about what they could tell us if they could talk and what sort of personalities they would have. We used clay and our outside treasures to give them a face for their personality.

• Gymnastics Competition

  Yesterday, a group of Year 3 pupils travelled to St Augustine’s High School, Billington, to take part in a LKS2 Gymnastics competition.

  All of them had to learn a floor and vault routine and perform in front of judges and parents.

  They were all a credit to themselves and the school and they should be proud of their achievements. Well done!

  

• Year 6 - Crime Scene

  Our IT suite is currently a crime scene! Our Year 6 super sleuths will have to use their detective skills to solve the crime and report about it! I wonder what has happened…

  

• Forest School Day at Brennand's Endowed Primary School

  We were delighted to take part in a Clitheroe Cluster event today where five Clitheroe schools each took 5 children to Brennand's Endowed Primary School, Slaidburn for a FOREST SCHOOL day.

  The children had a great time completing activities such as:

  Den Building

  Making Clay models

  Team activities

  Marshmallows on a fire

  Puzzles

  Natural Art

  And lots more!

  It’s was so lovely to see children from a range of schools getting to know each other!

  We can’t wait to do more things like this with the other schools in our area.

  

• Green Team - Rainbow Day

  Green Team Rainbow day! Today we played lots of problem solving activities which required a lot of communication. The children were amazing!

  

• Year 6 Walk - Children's Mental Health Week

  As part of CMHW, Year 6 went on a 4 mile walk this afternoon in the surroundings areas of school. It was a little muddy but we had a great time and the children loved the fact that they just got to talk all afternoon about lots of things! The children were great and we loved it! Thanks Year 6!

  Today we asked the children to come to wearing something that represented them as a person.

  We have seen some wonderful clothes today that truly sum up the children as individuals!

  

• Mindfulness with Coach Matt
